Cm storm quickfire xt4/30/2023 ![]() It is also worth noting that both keyboards are great, and they both serve the same purpose. As I stated before, my first keyboard was the Quickfire Pro with Cherry MX Browns, so I will be frequently comparing this keyboard to that. This aspect is the most important part of the keyboard, the feel. I know it will not tangle up and that it is of a good quality. ![]() The cable that comes with the keyboard is braided, and it is quite nice to hold and use. Otherwise, the keyboard is completely bare, which I like. The only “LED’s” on the keyboard are the three lights for Caps Lock, Num Lock, and Screen lock as well as the Windows Lock LED. The keyboard itself is really relaxed looked and not flashy. My Quickfire Pro never wore away in the 2 years of heavy use, and my XT hasn’t worn away yet, but I am sure it will in due time. A laser engraved key is generally an outline of the character, but the key will never wear away. They stand out, but they are also wear away with moderate to heavy use. Laser etched means that the character on the key on the key filled out. Keyboard in all of its gloryĪ keycap can either be laser etched or laser engraved. The keys look nice, standard CM Storm font (which is a derivative of the font of the Nintendo GameCube, fun fact!), but the keys are laser etched. The keyboard has no backlight, which I personally prefer due to the fact that I find LED distracting and unnecessary. I’ve seen other mechanical keyboards that have the firm’s logo tossed on it four or five times, but this keyboard only has it on the back and bottom, the latter of which no one will most likely see. I do like the kickstand legs from other keyboards, but I like the consistency and reliability of the rubber strips. It hardly if ever slides on my desk and that is a great plus. The Cherry MX Brown and Green switches will be available on a later date. This keyboard is low to the ground and has four rubber strips on the four corners of the keyboard. While the Cherry MX Red switch is priced at $93.39, and you can get one here. The QuickFire XT Cherry MX Blue switch is currently at $84.19, and you can order one here. Its price varies depending on the Cherry MX switch. The Cooler Master CM Storm QuickFire XT are now available for order online. I’m currently using a different brand of mechanical keyboard, but if given the chance I’ll go back to CM Storm’s lineup.Ĭooler Master CM Storm QuickFire XT Specificationsĭimensions: 440mm x 132mm x 29mm (L x W x H) Not to mention, they are also cheaper compared to other mechanical gaming keyboard out there that also offers the same features and functions. I can say that all of them are great mechanical gaming keyboards in general, specially the CM Storm Trigger. I have used and reviewed several Cooler Master mechanical gaming keyboards already, like the CM Storm Trigger, Quick Fire Pro and QuickFire Rapid. With N Key Rollover (NKRO), users deploying the QuickFire XT in PS/2 mode can activate many keys on the keyboard simultaneously. Like its predecessors, the CM Storm QuickFire XT features multimedia shortcuts to ensure that media can be controlled with ease. The Windows Key is disabled while in Game mode to avoid accidental minimizing of the game. This is complemented by a set of extra keycaps (includes a key puller) that give the keyboard, and its user, a bit of individuality that provides a striking outlook.Īrmed with a response time of 1ms, in USB mode, the CM Storm Quick Fire XT offers gamers a necessary consistency to navigate the ever changing landscapes of their video game libraries. The CM Storm QuickFire XT features a smooth and clean aesthetic, laser-marked keycaps and a non-glossy matte finish.
